Meka and Pete’s small and intimate wedding was all about the celebration. As a stylist I’ve met lots of different brides. They all want their wedding to be beautiful, and unique, but they often have different areas of focus or priority when planning their special day. For some, the ceremony is paramount, for others it’s the dress, or the photos and for brides like Meka, it’s all about the celebration.
The ceremony was held under a huge gum tree in a field next to the venue, and guests simply walked 5 minutes through the grass to dinner, drinks and dancing the night away!
The reception was held in the grounds of The Heritage Team Rooms at Herveys Range, with an eclectic mix of old tables and chairs arranged under the trees in the mango orchard. Festoon lighting was strung through the trees and picnic blankets, pillows and throws adorned the grass surrounding the makeshift dance floor.
After a day of setting up, when I sat back and admired the scene before me I couldn’t help but think ‘this is going to be one heck of a party’. And it was. Relaxed, joyful and full of happy people who obviously loved and adored this gorgeous couple. Just the way a wedding should be.
We had a lot of fun and as busy as the day gets you need to enjoy every minute of it and we certainly did that. We had some awesome people working with us to help plan our big day, the weather was stunning and everything went off without a hitch so we were a very happy bride and groom.
