We made all of these hats with a cardboard base (from old boxes) cut and moulded into different shapes and designs. We then added unique elements to each one – paint, glitter, feathers, plastic jewels from out of the craft box in the cupboard, even some broken Christmas decorations. Pull out the hot glue gun and get your craft on!
I love that you can even inject your child’s own interests into their Easter hat. Your kid loves dinosaurs? Whack a dinosaur figurine wearing some bunny ears on top alongside some mini ‘trees’. Butterfly fan in the house? A hat covered in lots of handmade butterflies in flight would be sweet. Have a Lego obsessed child? (my hand is high in the air here!)… attach Lego pieces to the outside of a hat in a cute design (just make sure they are easy to remove afterwards).
The options are endless and you’re only limited by yours and your child’s imagination. Have fun and if you make an Easter hat for your child this year, please share a pic with us on instagram and #confettimageaster!
