We love reading about ways to live a healthier life, both through the food we eat and the household items we consume, so Sonia Donaldson’s blog ‘Natural New Age Mum’ is on our regular reading list! Sonia’s blog is all about her journey to live a happy, healthy, holistic life. Our favourite posts include her tips and how-to information on living eco-friendly and chemical free… from reducing your plastic consumption, to hosting an eco-friendly kids party, and how-to ditch those nasty store-bought liquid handsoaps and make your own….Sonia’s blog is a wealth of information for those of us starting out on our journey to live a healthier life.

CHRISTMAS IS…
A time to come together with family, eat good food, relax, be thankful and enjoy the break.

IT FEELS LIKE CHRISTMAS WHEN…
The kids finish school and we put the tree up.

IT WOULDN’T BE CHRISTMAS WITHOUT…
Hot weather, family, roast pork, summer fruits and my Kate Ceberano Christmas CD on high rotation.

THE THINGS THAT ALWAYS MAKES ME THINK OF CHRISTMAS…
Are from my childhood – mangoes, cherries, rumballs, white christmas, plum pudding and mince pies (yes, I have always been a foodie!)

A CHRISTMAS TRADITION FOR OUR FAMILY IS…
Decorating the tree together with the Christmas carols blasting. We always have roast pork with lots of crackling (organic and free range of course!) for Christmas Eve dinner.

EVERY CHRISTMAS…
Our family shops for a hamper of food and toys to donate to the Salvation Army. We also pop some gifts under the Kmart Wishing Tree. The kids really look forward to this and love choosing the goodies. It makes us all remember everything we have to be grateful for and gives us a warm fuzzy feeling to help make someone else’s Christmas happier.

ON MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING LIST IS…
Not much really! We try to be quite conservative and conscious consumers… the kids are getting some technology and my husband and I keep it simple for each other with books, music or clothes. Friends and family usually get homemade food or beauty gifts!

FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR I’D LIKE TO RECEIVE…
Lots of morning hugs in bed and if Santa thinks I have been good enough, I also have my eye on some new release novels for a bit of holiday reading.
