Honey and I met Kirsteene and her colleague Renee when we visited the Etsy head quarters in Melbourne recently. Kirsteene has a very special role with Etsy Australia, she’s responsible for the PR and Buyer Marketing, and she exudes the passion, love and enthusiasm you would come to expect in a role being surrounded by everything handmade and unique. We were lucky enough to sit down with Kirsteene and hear all about how she likes to spend Christmas with her family.
CHRISTMAS IS
…a chance to wind down after the busy year, see my family and enjoy good food.

IT FEELS LIKE CHRISTMAS WHEN
…it starts to get hot and I have my annual argument with my husband about the best way to trim the tree!

RIGHT NOW I’M
…opening parcels from all of my early online shopping. It’s like having Christmas three times. I receive gifts I’ve bought for others, I get to wrap them and then I get to watch them get unwrapped again. Pretty fun.

ONE OF MY BEST CHRISTMAS MEMORIES IS
…the Christmas I spent with my Aunty, Grandma and Sister in a campervan touring around New Zealand. It poured rain and we couldn’t go outside for days, giving me more time to enjoy the complete set of Anne of Green Gables novels I got under the tree.

A CHRISTMAS TRADITION FOR ME IS
…wrapping the presents with help from my step-daughters. I like to take time and care with this and it provides a lot of pleasure.

IT WOULDN’T BE CHRISTMAS WITHOUT
….Frangelico and bonbons.

ON MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING LIST IS
…lots of lovely things that I can’t reveal – don’t want to spoil any surprises.

FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR I’D LIKE TO RECEIVE…

Fancy Fish Plates, from Etsy store yvonandellen (see below)

This beautiful Merino Knit dress, from Etsy store The KnitKid (see below)
